The THERESA kathryn Story

One day while at the airport struggling through endless lines with laptop bag, purse, carry-on, and coffee, Tammy Trenta realized that something in this scene was just not right. Everywhere she looked business women were struggling along, trying to maintain a professional appearance, while schlepping way too many, uncoordinated bags – most of which were designed for men. That is when it connected. Why doesn’t someone design a bag that cuts down on the number of items a professional woman must carry? It is insane to struggle all day long with an, often uncoordinated, purse and laptop bag. Why not combine and conquer?

Tammy went right to work designing fashionable, yet functional bags that embody the professionalism of today’s up-and-coming woman, while still providing space for her collection of necessities.

Once the fabulous new bags were designed, it was time to consider a name for this company. Tammy contacted her sister Suzanne and together they decided on THERESA kathryn , the name of their grandmother. The company’s namesake was everything they wanted their product line to embody. These bags are designed for the hard working, professional woman who is smart, successful and organized. A TK woman is always put together, balancing family life and a demanding career with apparent ease. This was Theresa Kathryn, and this is the type of woman her granddaughters honor.

Tammy Trenta and her sister Suzanne Rispoli were born less than a year apart. They are both successful, brilliant, and balanced. Before starting THERESA kathryn Tammy was rapidly climbing the corporate ladder on the West Coast, while Suzanne was an admired CPA on the East Coast. Now with 4 children at home, Suzanne is finding a new balance as a career mom. Handling the day to day operation of TK requires much of Tammy’s time, although she is always on the lookout for new design ideas to enhance the lives of THERESA kathryn women.
